It’s twelve days to Christmas – ok, it’s actually really just ten, but twelve sounds more poetic – and to celebrate the festive season specialty purveyor The Gourmet Food Co have assembled a selection of twelve unique and exquisite whiskies that you might purchase.

These twelve whiskies from independent bottlers were previously only available from B28 Singapore, but The Gourmet Food Co managed to get their hands on them, of which only a handful of each whisky remain in Singapore and the rest of the world.

Here’s a look at the list of these rare spirits, which range from single malts to special blends:

Gourmet Food Co Twelve Whiskies

The cask-strength Strathmill 1990 was bottled by Duncan Taylor for their super-premium Dimensions range of a limited release of bottles from cask number 4240, while the Black Bull Special Reserve, also from Duncan Taylor, is a blended scotch whisky that uses 50% malt to grain with just 871 bottles produced.

This means that they’d make excellent Christmas gifts for close friends or valued clients who are whisky aficionados… or a nice prize to add to one’s own whisky collection, to celebrate the close of a great year.

But if you can’t be certain about buying them because you’re not sure how they’d taste, The Gourmet Food Co is organizing a tasting session this Wednesday 17 December from 6.30pm on their premises (18 North Canal Road) where you can personally experience these whiskies for a flat fee of S$50. Oh yes, you’d also get to taste some delectable canapes such as roasted pork belly, Mangalica sausage and smoked trout along with those rare malts, but we’re pretty sure that’s not what you’re there for.

Book your spot by calling 6534 0207 or email them at thegourmetfoodco@eighteen.com.sg.
