Rum Jam 2015

On 23 and 24 October 2015, rum aficionados will get to sample some of the finest rums from the Caribbean at the event centred around Lime House at Jiak Chuan Road in Chinatown. Expect two days filled with rum-related events, such as tastings, masterclasses, a rum pairing dinner as well as a closing party.

Headlining the stellar cast of rum experts is world-renowned global rum ambassador and world’s foremost rum expert Ian Burell, the person behind “UK RumFest: The Rum Experience“.

The list of activities are as follows:

Rum Tastings hosted by Ian Burrell

6-7pm, Friday 23 October; 3.30-4.30pm Saturday 24 October; and 5-6pm Saturday 24 October

The definitive rum tasting session curated and hosted by global rum Ambassador Ian Burrell. He walks you through some of the world’s best rums, their distinctive flavours and character as well as their origin and rich history and invites you to taste and experience. $25 per session.

Rum Bar Mount Gay Rum Takeover

7pm to midnight, Friday 23 October

Mount Gay – authentic Caribbean rum producer hailing from Barbados – takes over Lime House’s Level 2 for a mash up rum experience of classics and concoctions featuring one of the world’s premier rums. Free (pay for drinks, which starts at $10).

Rum Dinner hosted by Ian Burrell

8-11pm, Saturday 24 October

A three-course gourmet Caribbean rum pairing dinner featuring rum-based cocktails prepared by UK-based award-winning mixologist and global rum ambassador Ian Burrell. Costs $110 per person.

 Rum Jam Closing Party

 7pm, 24 October

Lime House, the mecca of gatherings and happenings hosts a blowout fete featuring DJs, pop up rum bars and the fun, food and friends that you’ve come to expect from Lime House, the originator of the Liming Carnival, Singapore’s answer to Trinidad, Rio or Notting Hill Carnival. Admission is free (food and drinks from $10).
