If you’ve enjoyed the first World of Wines two years back, you’d be glad to know that its back for its second-ever edition. Organized by Magnum Spirits & Wines Private Limited, World of Wines 2014 will run from 31 May 2014 to 1 June at Swiss Club Singapore and will showcase some 23 world-class wineries and 15 of its representing companies from across the globe, from Europe, South America to Australia.
Together, over 50 labels of wines will be on offer for tasting; visitors can pair that with food such as freshly shucked oysters, roasts and a selection of French cheeses that will be provided by Swiss Club Singapore. Aside from tastings, winemakers and winery representatives will be present to share about their wines – how they’re made, the winery’s traditions and history, for example. The festival includes a wine fair component where more than 60 labels of wines will be available for purchase at wholesale prices (ranging between $29 and $95), with wines ranging from Sauvignon Blanc from the vineyards of Bordeaux, France, to Vintage Rosso from family-owned wineries in Toscana, Italy.
“The success of the first World of Wines in 2012 was a huge encouragement for us and all the wineries that were represented. Our debut saw over 500 guests!” shares Francesca Liam, Marketing Manager at Magnum Spirits & Wines Pte Ltd. “After that, it became a natural step for us to organize the festival again. This time, guests can expect an expanded number of wines and a personal experience with their winemakers and winery owners.”

Festival hours run from 6pm to 10pm on Saturday, 31 May 2014, and from 12pm to 4pm on Sunday, 1 June 2014. Admission is $88 for the public, $78 for Swiss Club members. A ticket will include 25 sample wine portions and a meal (either a buffet dinner for Saturday or brunch on Sunday).
