Also debuting in Singapore for the first time, as seen at the recent Beerfest Asia, were beers from Heretic Brewing Company.
Brought in by Singapore-based American craft beer importer BeerStyle Distribution – which adds Heretic to a portfolio that includes official distribution rights in Singapore for Stone Brewing Company, Rogue Ales, Anderson Valley Brewing Company, Lagunitas Brewing Company, Deschutes Brewery and Ninkasi Brewing Company – the Fairfield, California-based brewery was started in 2011 by award-winning homebrewer Jamil Zainasheff. Zainasheff also hosts of “The Jamil Show” and “Brew Strong” shows on The Brewing Network, and co-authored “Brewing Classic Styles: 80 Winning Recipes Anyone Can Brew” with fellow homebrewer and “Brew Strong” co-host John Palmer.
“I was first introduced to Jamil at a book signing during last year’s Great American Beer Festival,” says Beerstyle Distribution founder Winston Kwang. “When I told him that he could feature the Heretic brand at Beerfest Asia, he went out of his way to accommodate us and rushed his shipment here in time for the event.”
BeerStyle Distribution will be bringing in five variants of Heretic beers for now, but is looking to import more styles as well as versions in 20L kegs.
