If you’ve always been interested to learn more about American whiskies there’s a masterclass coming up on 27th September. Held jointly by City Nomads and La Maison du Whisky, this masterclass is centered around one of America’s up-and-coming ‘small batch’ whiskey brands – the Bulleit Distilling Company.
The Bulleit brand was brought to life via Tom Bulleit, great-great-grandson of Augustus Bulleit, with a range of whiskies inspired by a family recipe handed down to him. The modern Bulleit style is characterised by its high rye content – 28% in the Bulleit Bourbon and 10YO, and 95% in Bulleit Rye. The masterclass will consist of a tasting of their entire range: Bulliet Rye, Bulleit Bourbon, and Bulleit 10 Years Old, as well as two cocktails; an Old Fashioned as well as a Gold Rush, using Bulleit whiskies of course.
At S$40 nett, it’s not a bad way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Two sessions are available, with 12 seats per class.
