You may be more inclined to associate the city of Stuttgart with fine Bavarian beer but not as many people are aware that Stuttgart has a storied history of wine-making.

In fact, it goes back as far as the third century AD, and today, the region has taken on a unique personality.

Come 12 February, 2015, Stuttgart Blackforest Boutique S-Cafe will be hosting an Introduction to German Wines, to be conducted by Malcolm Tham, an accredited International Bordeaux Wine Educator (L’École du Vin de Bordeaux) and a certified German Wine Advisor.

The talk will cover a variety of introductory topics, such as an overview of German wine history and development, as well as its wine regions and its various varieties and styles. Malcolm will also share on how to decipher the complex German wine classification system and how to understand its wine labels.

The talk costs S$30++ per pax and you will get to taste four wines from Stuttgart and its surrounding region. However, if you purchase any two bottles from their wine list, the event fee will be refunded. Worth a look.
