In case you didn’t spot those gaudily-pink bottles, the latest collaboration beer between Newport, Oregon-headquartered Rogue Ales and wacky Portland, Oregon-based bakery Voodoo Doughnut – the Rogue Voodoo Doughnut Lemon Chiffon Crueller Ale – has hit selected neighbourhood beer retail shops across the country.

The latest incarnation – following the Voodoo Doughnut Bacon Maple Ale, Voodoo Doughnut Chocolate Peanut & Banana Ale, and Voodoo Doughnut Pretzel Raspberry Chocolate Ale – like its predecessors sees the creation mirroring flavours from one of Voodoo Doughnut’s popular confections, this time it is its Lemon Chiffon Crueller doughnut. The beer contains a baker’s dozen ingredients to match Voodoo’s doughnut, employing four different malts and 2 kinds of hops, as well as lemon juice, vanilla beans and even marshmallows to replicate the doughnut’s flavours.

The first collaborative beer between Rogue Ales and Voodoo Doughnut was the Bacon Maple Porter released in 2011; the beer was inspired by Voodoo Doughnut’s wildly popular Bacon Maple bar, a doughnut topped with strips of savory bacon nestled on a bed of sweet maple frosting.

Official Singapore Rogue Ales importer Beerstyle Distribution has confirmed that only 4 cartons worth of the Rogue Voodoo Doughnut Lemon Chiffon Crueller Ale are available at all for Singapore – that’s just 48 bottles in total. It can be found in the following beer retail shops:

If you think that sounds insane, you may like to know that Rogue Ales also made a stout using sriracha hot sauce. According to BeerStyle Distribution, the Rogue Sriracha HOT Stout will land in Singapore sometime end April this year.

Disclosure: Author is owner of 99 Bottles.
