Proof & Company Spirits launches EC Proof, a consumer retail arm that aims to help spread the bar lifestyle to the home.
The team behind Proof & Company has been a driving force in the nightlife industry – aside from importing and distributing some of the rarest craft spirits in town, its flagship bar 28 HongKong Street is an important pioneer in the cocktail bar movement in Singapore, and its most recent concept Crackerjack looks to revolutionise the scene by melding cocktails, coffee and good eats in a single location. This month it officially kicks off EC Proof, an online end-to-end commerce site that provides spirits, bar goods and other knick knacks to help the cocktail enthusiast create a bar at home.
With just a few clicks on their website, cocktail aficionados and spirits fans can get access to hundreds of exclusive bottles of spirits, mixers, bar tools, and even cocktail books that will turn an amateur to a budding home bartender for impressing visitors. Most of the goods you’ll find on EC Proof are carefully curated by the Proof & Company team, many who have travelled around the world to talk to distillers, manufacturers and craftsmen and identify the best items for the online portfolio.
If you visited Epicurean Market last year, you may have caught a glimpse of EC Proof when they first debuted their retail concept. EC Proof will host similar pop-ups in events around town, but if you prefer to drop by a physical store for a more experiential visit there’s The Proof Flat at 43A Hong Kong Street. The Proof Flat is run by an expert team of advisors who can answer questions, provide samples and give advice. The space will also host occasional events – for example, their “Salon Sessions” are events that range from Singapore Cocktail Week workshops led by industry leaders, to private tastings with visiting distillers.
Everything you need to make your favourite cocktails at home will be available at EC Proof or The Proof Flat; we’re sure you may even be able to bring a bartender home with you (for home parties) if you ask the right person… and at the right price.
