The inaugural Singapore edition of Australia’s favourite wine and music festival Pinot Palooza will take place on Saturday 25 November 2017 from 1pm to 6pm at the Esplanade.

Pinot Noir lovers rejoice! If you’re a fan of wine made with that particular wine grape, Australia’s largest wine and music festival Pinot Palooza will be making Singapore the first city in Asia to host the event. Founded by Dan Sims, Pinot Palooza first made its debut in Melbourne in 2013, and quickly spreading across the country by adding Sydney, Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane to its calendar, and then expanded to New Zealand as well.

2017 though will be a watershed for Pinot Palooza. “2017 is a game-changing year for Pinot Palooza. It’s the biggest Palooza in its history,” says director at event company Revel Global and Pinot Palooza founder Sims, a well-known wine commentator, educator and personality in Australia. Revel Global has created various fun event concepts that revolve around alcohol, such as Game of Rhones, Wine Day Out, and Gauchito Gil’s Malbec World Day.

“Not only are we expanding to include more cities in Australia and New Zealand, we’re taking it to Singapore and have our eyes on Japan and China,” he adds.

Sims shares that Singapore was chosen as a logical destination for expansion because of the large Australian influence in the country. “The number of Australian chefs here is just huge and the wine consumption is set to rise around 30 to 40 percent over the next five years,” he says. “Australian wine in particular is popular in Singapore. 38 per cent of all wine consumed is Australian,” he adds.

In Singapore Pinot Palooza will be held at the Esplanade, showcasing more than 100 wines from over 40 of the hottest wineries from Australia, New Zealand, United States and Italy. Expect to see Pinot Noirs from wineries the likes of Moondarra, Punt Road, Darymple, Tolpuddle, Mt Difficulty, Nautilus, Schubert, and more.

Tickets will be priced at $50 (early bird) and $60 (general admission) and will be available for purchase online. Ticket price includes booking fee and a take-home Plumm RedB Glass (valued at $35), as well as all wine tastes.

Unfortunately there are currently no plans for VIP tickets for the Singapore edition as with the Pinot Paloozas in Australia.
