Back for the second time after its inaugural edition in 2016, ProWine Asia 2018 will take place alongside this year’s Food & Hotel Asia 2018 from 24 to 27 April 2018 at the Singapore Expo.

Jointly organised by Messe Düsseldorf Asia and UBM, ProWine Asia – the Asian offshoot of the established ProWein World series of wine fairs – will see some 300 trade exhibitors from 30 countries and wine regions return to the Singapore Expo for one of the largest wine trade shows in Singapore.

With an expected 16 percent increase in the number of trade exhibitors – and a corresponding 18 percent increase in exhibition area – ProWine Asia is set to entrench itself as the leading wine trade event in Southeast Asia. This year, featured national or region-specific pavilions include those from Austria, Catalonia, Croatia, France, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Rioja, Singapore, and Spain, and will help connect established wine producers and distributors to the burgeoning wine markets in Southeast Asia and beyond.

This edition also welcomes many first-time participating countries including Armenia, Croatia, Cyprus, and Thailand, alongside companies exhibiting for the first time. Expect to see the likes of Clai Wines with their organic wines made from native grapes, acclaimed liqueurs in apricot, blueberry and blackcurrant from Romania, as well as Welsh single malt whiskey producer Penderyn Distillery.

“According to the International Wine and Spirit Research, wine sales in the Asia-Pacific region are expected to continue increasing 2.8 per cent until 2019,” says Beattrice Ho, ProWine Asia Project Director, Messe Düsseldorf Asia.

“We believe ProWine Asia, together with FHA, will further drive this growth through the forging of new industry networks across the wine and spirits, food and hospitality sectors,” she added.
