Singapore Cocktail Festival returns to the Lion City in May this year for a nine-day festival celebrating all things cocktail, and more.

Early bird tickets for this year’s Singapore Cocktail Festival just went on sale; the biggest cocktail festival in the region returns from 10 to 18 May 2019 and will see a larger-than-ever programme lineup. Jointly organised by The Events Artery and Food News Integrated Marketing Agency, the festival will kick off with Asia’s 50 Best Bars awards ceremony on 9 May. This will be followed by its signature event Festival Village that takes place from 10 to 12 May.

Complementing these will be a line-up of bar tours, guest bartending shifts and more across 45 participating bars.

The best way to catch all the cocktail action in one place is at the Festival Village on 10-12 May. Festival goers can expect appearances by award-winning bars, an artisanal spirits tasting room, as well as its ever-popular food street.

Participating Singapore bars include Jigger & Pony, Tippling Club, IB HQ, Neon Pigeon, Origin Bar, Tess Bar, and more. But there’s also representation from the region such as Smalls from Bangkok and Seoul’s Keepers.

Lovers of good spirits can head for the Artisanal Spirits Tasting Room. There a range of craft spirits – such as Black Cow Vodka and Skin Gin – will be on hand for sampling.

Newly added to the Festival Village is the “Barstylez International Bartender Championship”. Here’s where over 60 bartenders from over 25 countries will compete for honours in two categories – ‘Flairing’ (International) and ‘Cocktail’ (Asia).

There’s entertainment as well, of course. The Festival Village programme will be packed daily with various live acts and DJ sets across different music genres.

Making Singapore’s cocktail scene a leading light.

“As we continue to grow the festival, our aim is to make Singapore not just an epicentre for cocktail lovers from around the world,” says Ivy Woo, co-founder of Singapore Cocktail Festival and Managing Director of Food News Integrated Marketing Agency.

“(We hope to make it) a leading location where the bar community can seek inspiration and exchange knowledge,” she adds.

Tickets for Singapore Cocktail Festival’s Festival Village component costs S$35 for a regular one-day pass (early bird pricing is S$40) and includes one welcome drink. A Jumbo Pass at S$50 ($45 early bird) allows entry for all three days inclusive of one welcome drink and a set of 4 sample shots. Group deals are also available. Check the Singapore Cocktail Festival website for more details.
