If you’re a fan of Ruinart, your tai-tai life just got even better. Astor Bar at the ultra-luxurious St. Regis Singapore is currently hosting a special Ruinart promotion that serves the maison’s Blanc de Blanc by the glass.
For the uninitiated, Ruinart was established in 1729 and is considered the oldest established Champagne house. Its Blanc de Blancs is composed from Chardonnay grapes grown on Premiers Cru sites in the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims vineyards (chosen for their refined aromas), while some Sézannais provide maturity and body, and balanced with freshness from some wines from the north of the Vesle valley.
Top-end champagne like the Ruinart Blanc de Blancs isn’t usually served by the glass, so if you’ve not tried this it’s a great opportunity to do it at just $$49++ a glass. And if you’re feeling particularly baller, Astor Bar is also offering a special bottle promotion for the Blanc de Blancs at just S$288++, shaved down from its usual S$388++ price.
To complete your champagne experience, Astor Bar is also making available a spread of light canapés to pair with your bubbly. We recommend the freshly-shucked Fine de Claire oysters ($7++), whose briny salinity helps bring out the fruitiness of the champagne.
