SKIRT Restaurant at W Singapore – Sentosa Cove is hosting Whiskey Business: Michter’s Special, a whiskey-infused steak dinner for the months of April and May 2022.

If there’s something better than pairing a steak with whiskey, it’s an entire steak dinner drenched in your favourite bourbon. SKIRT Restaurant at W Singapore – Sentosa Cove is currently offering just that – “Whiskey Business: Michter’s Special” is a special whiskey-pairing steak menu available for the months of April and May this year that sees some fabulous beef from the steakhouse served alongside some of the finest American whiskeys from Michter’s.

And not just any beef. The highlight of the select menu is an exclusive 1kg Aged Black Angus Tomahawk, a massive hunk of meat that’s specially dry-aged for 21 days. We’re not talking about mere dry-ageing either. SKIRT Sous-Chef Eddie Gan first preps the steak by wrapping it in a cloth that’s been soaked with Michter’s US*1 Kentucky Straight Bourbon, before sending it into the dry ageing cabinet for 21 days. It’s then fired on SKIRT’s signature parrilla grill for some smoky, charred goodness. What results is a steak that’s not only succulently tender, but perfumed with subtle undertones of bourbon.

Also on the select menu is a unique bourbon-infused Baked Alaska for dessert. Here Executive Pastry Chef Edwin Leow serves a Michter’s US*1 Kentucky Straight Bourbon-infused vanilla gelato and Italian meringue table-side for a fiery spectacle, a feast for both the eyes and the palate.

But not to be outdone are the mixologists at SKIRT. They have come up with three handcrafted cocktails using Michter’s fine selection of American whiskeys. There’s Spiced Pear Highball if you prefer a refreshing tipple, otherwise the Rye Brown Derby – a rye twist on one of the standard tipples during the Kentucky Derby – offers a fruity yet spirit-forward alternative. If you’re an Old Fashioned type of person, the Sour Mash Old Fashioned, made with the Michter’s US*1 Sour Mash, is definitely your gentlemanly choice.
