Celebrity Japanese restaurant Nobu Singapore has recently launched its lunchtime service, offering two omakase lunch menus complete with signature Nikkei favourites.

If you’ve yet to visit the Singapore outpost of veteran celebrity chef Nobu Matsuhisa’s sprawling restaurant empire, now is really the time to do so. Nobu Singapore, located at Four Seasons Hotel Singapore, last month unveiled two exclusive set menus as part of its newly-introduced lunch service.

What makes the two lunch tasting menus special? Both Nobu Singapore lunch omakase sets have been carefully curated by Head Chef Hideki Maeda to offer a taste of some of the classic Peruvian-inflected Japanese dishes that helped cement Nobu Matsuhisa’s formidable culinary reputation across the globe.

Nobu Singapore - Miso Black Cod
We’ve seen many a version of miso black cod, but the one at Nobu still sets the gold standard. Nobu Matsuhisa did make this dish famous, after all!

There’s ‘Set A’, a five-course serving of Peruvian-influenced Japanese dishes such as Sashimi Salad with Matsuhisa Dressing, Prawn Tempura (upgradable to their famed Black Cod Miso), and Josper Charcoal-Grilled Beef Tenderloin, the last of which is served with some lip-smacking Peruvian- and Japanese-inspired sauces. You’ll also get to enjoy the Nobu-style Assorted Sushi & Maki Selection, and round off your decadent lunch with a slice of creamy and rich Nobu Cheesecake.

Then there’s ‘Set B’. This even more luxurious option is slightly similar to ‘Set A’ – you’ll get an upgraded salad of Baby Spinach Salad that comes with some lovely grilled prawns, miso black cod, the grilled beef tenderloin, as well as the sushi and maki platter. But instead of cheesecake, your dessert is a palate-pleasing Vanilla Raspberry Mille-Feuille that’s served with yuzu sorbet.

Nobu Singapore interior
Nobu Singapore maintains a serene and cosily welcoming setting with Japanese accents, complete with a tranquil beautifully-sculpted outdoor Zen garden.

And if these lunch sets sounds a little too indulgent for lunch, Nobu Singapore also offers an à la carte menu during lunch so you can pick and choose your own dishes.

All in all, the Nobu Singapore lunch sets are a splendid way to immerse yourself in Nobu’s take on Nikkei cuisine that has taken the world by storm.

Nobu Singapore’s lunch set menus are available during lunchtime 12.00pm to 2.30pm at S$145++ and S$195++ per person for ‘Set A’ and ‘Set B’ respectively.
