Maison Hennessy celebrates the Year of the Rabbit with limited-edition bottles, Cherry Garden special tasting menus, and exclusive cocktails at MO Bar.

Chinese New Year is an important time for many. For Maison Hennessy too, especially since many a Lunar New Year celebration feast won’t be complete without a bottle of Hennessy cognac on the dining table.

For this Lunar New Year, Hennessy has collaborated with celebrated Shanghai-born, Dijon-based contemporary artist Yan Pei-Ming to create a special artwork. This larger-than-life painting – ‘La Grande Course’ – features all 12 animals of the Chinese zodiac painted in the artist’s signature ephemeral style. The partnership also extends to a numbered series of limited edition Hennessy V.S.O.P and X.O cognacs. Elements of Yan’s masterpiece emblazon each bottle and packaging, with prosperous hues of amber, orange, russet, and burgundy that bring festive cheer to any New Year celebration.

“When you hold a bottle of cognac up to sunlight, its hues vary so much. I wanted to portray cognac — but it’s light that is really the colour of this painting,” shared Yan, who is best known for painting large-sized portraits of celebrities and well-known figures such as Mao Zedong, Barack Obama, Pope Jean-Paul II, and Bruce Lee.

The limited Lunar New Year edition of Hennessy V.S.O.P Cognac is available at a price of S$129.20 (you can purchase it online here), while the limited Lunar New Year edition of Hennessy X.O Cognac is available at a price of S$361.35 (available for purchase online here).
