Wildfire Burgers at Robertson Walk combines the casual burger chain’s signature smoky charcoal-grilled burgers with some strong cocktails.

If you’re a huge fan of the deliciously smoky burgers from Wildfire Burgers like we are, here’s some good news. They have a new outlet! Opened earlier this week, its third outlet at Robertson Walk follows their first at the campus of Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts on Bencoolen Street and its flagship venue in Cantonment Central along Keppel Road, and takes over the space where cosy cocktail bar Lil’ Tiger (which was owned by the same folks) used to be.

All of Wildfire Burgers’ famous signatures are here. Our favourite Classic 001 Cheeseburger, a simple yet scrumptious classic American-style cheeseburger, for example, their Shabu Burger, as well as The Eggstarter that sees a brioche bun lovingly sandwiching creamy folded eggs and melty cheese (you should add some bacon too, like we do). Not forgetting their ever-popular sides of Tater Tots, or their yummy Golden Chicken Nuggets.

But there’s more. Wildfire Burgers at Roberston Walk carries a few new burgers that’s only just been introduced at the other outlets. If you’re a self-confessed turophile, The Four Cheese Burger – featuring cheddar, mozzarella, Colby Jack, and Monterey Jack cheeses – is most likely to be your choice. There’s the Triple Bacon Burger too, for those who really like their bacon; aside from crispy bacon, this is slathered with bacon jam and bacon-studded mayonnaise as well.

For those who eschew beef, there’s Ebi Burger, which essentially features a crisp golden-fried patty made from minced prawn. The standout, though? We absolutely love the French Onion Burger. It’s similar to the regular classic burger, but also comes with a layer tempura-ed onions for added sweetness and crunch. You won’t be getting much kissing action after downing this burger though.

Not into burgers? There’s Minute Steak for those who prefer a slab of meat – this comes as a charcoal-grilled Argentinian grain-fed Angus striploin – without the frills, or the rather old-school Chopped Caesar salad reminiscent of those you get from 90’s New York steakhouses.

But what truly sets Wildfire Burgers at Robertson Walk apart from the other outlets is really a proper cocktail programme. It kept the Lil’ Tiger’s bar setup and continues to dish out some surprisingly good cocktails (for a casual burger chain). Some of Lil’ Tiger’s popular cocktails were retained, but what are really impressive are its classics such as the Vesper, Old Fashioned, Daiquiri, and a rather rare Vieux Carre as well. These even come as shots if you prefer to sample them instead.

Effectively, Wildfire Burgers at Robertson Walk combines the burger concept’s popular eats with the cocktail spirit of Lil’ Tiger. Need we say more?
