For our August edition of Spirited Eats, dining editor Esther Lim explores some of the newly-unveiled hotel buffet and Sunday brunch options in town.

Singaporeans love their buffets and Sunday brunches. It’s our sacred gastronomic ritual.

All-day buffet restaurant Colony over at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, for example, sometimes has a waiting list of up to a month, while we can never seem to get our reservations in for the extremely popular – and ridiculously boozy – Sunday cocktail brunch at Manhattan in Conrad Singapore Orchard.

If you’re a buffet or weekend brunch hound like so many of us, here are some new, refreshed or reimagined buffet and brunch offerings – both all-you-can-eat and set options – you may want to explore.

Buffet spread at Basilico

Brunch di Fine Settimana at Basilico

And don’t forget their incredible cheese room! Basilico has also introduced Basilico Bar, offering authentic Italian-inspired cocktails to help wash down your lavish repast. Drop in for Basilico’s ‘Brunch di Fine Settimana’ buffet on the weekends and you’ll get live pasta stations as well.
