Look forward to “Eat Spain Drink Spain”, an entire month of gastronomic adventures with 18 participating venues putting Spain on your plate and in your glass.

Love your paella, gambas al ajillo, and patatas bravas? Well, here’s one for those of us who love Spanish cuisine. “Eat Spain Drink Spain” returns for its 2024 edition, and promises to be bigger and better.

Organised by ICEX Spain and the Spanish Embassy in Singapore, this year’s edition will take place from 15 September to 15 October and will see a slew of gastronomic events planned for that period. Building on the momentum from last year, this year’s initiative will include an array of experiences running from various wine dinners and special tastings to cooking shows and culinary demonstrations, held in collaboration with various food and beverage partners in Singapore.

Probably the biggest news as part of “Eat Spain Drink Spain” is the addition of two Singapore-based Spanish-themed restaurants to the vaunted Restaurants from Spain list. If you’re not aware, Restaurants from Spain is a certification programme to help appoint and support restaurants overseas as true culinary ambassadors promoting Spanish cuisine in Singapore. This year sees both outlets of My Little Spanish Place – at Boat Quay and Coronation Plaza – join the 16 other restaurants flying high Spain’s culinary flag.

At the risk of sounding biased? We’re pretty partial to the conviviality and creativity of Esquina, while Gaig offers an elegant, cosy experience with food that speaks true to its Catalan roots. Then there’s Tapas,24 and Pura Brasa, both of which serve excellent tapas perfect for sharing among friends. You know, in true Spanish style.
