Award-winning Italian restaurant Buona Terra presents an exclusive Krug Experience menu that celebrates The House of Krug’s long-running signature Single Ingredient programme available now till end December.

Champagne-loving epicureans among us may be familiar with Krug’s single ingredient programme, which it first launched back a decade ago.

The idea was simple – to celebrate fine gastronomy over glasses of similarly fine champagne. To that end the maison appointed and partnered some of the world’s best restaurants – what it calls its Krug Ambassades – to create seminal dishes built around one single ingredient. Starting with the juicy tomato in 2014, ingredients over the years included the humble potato (2015), the versatile egg (2016), the delectable mushroom (2017), and rice (2022).

Last year it was lemon.

This year sees the flower take centrestage. But Maison Krug also commemorated the 10th anniversary of the programme with a smashing dinner featuring all ten iconic ingredients delivered by ten world class chefs – such as Maison Pic’s Anne-Sophie Pic, Esben Holmboe Bang of Oslo’s Maaemo in Oslo, and Guillaume Galliot of Caprice in Hong Kong – earlier in September at the historic Gare des Invalides.

Here in Singapore, award-winning Italian restaurant Buono Terra is also marking the occasion in its own way. The Krug Ambassade is presenting an exclusive five-course Krug Experience menu, with Resident Chef Denis Lucchi (pictured above) masterfully curating nine innovative contemporary Italian creations – which includes a starting snack, amuse bouche, crisps and bread, as well as a petit four – each inspired by one ingredient from Krug’s Single Ingredient programme.

Served with a glass of Krug Grande Cuvée, of course.

Dishes in the Buona Terra Krug Experience menu include delicate Mozambique scampi served with a blue pea flower-infused vinegar gel atop nasturtium as a tribute to this year’s flower power, as well as a tagliatelle course with onion served three ways – onion broth, powder, and purée – as a nod to 2021’s ingredient.

Then there’s the main course of quail, which arrives as a ballotine dressed with morel mushrooms to celebrate the ingredient from 2017.

This exclusive limited-time Buona Terra Krug Experience menu is exclusively available now till 31 December 2024 at $278++ per person. Do note that the menu can change with seasonality and availability of daily ingredients, and are designed to be ordered and enjoyed by everyone at the same table.
