Singapore Airlines set to exclusively serve Louis Roederer Cristal 2015 on its Airbus A380 Suites and Boeing 777-300ER First Class cabins from 1 December 2024.
Champagne lovers, here’s another reason to fly Singapore Air. Especially if you’re a huge fan of Louis Roederer. The Singapore national carrier has signed an agreement with the leading French champagne producer to exclusive serve the Louis Roederer Cristal 2015 in the air, specifically in Airbus A380 Suites and Boeing 777-300ER First Class cabins.
Initially available on flights between Singapore and Delhi, Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles, Paris, Shanghai, Sydney, and Tokyo from 1 December 2024, this offering joins SIA’s curated list of exquisite champagnes, and will be rotated to other Suites and First Class routes on a three-month rotational basis.
For those unfamiliar with the Louis Roederer Cristal, this is the seminal release from the Reims-based producer. For the 2015 vintage, Cellar master Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon has crafted together wines from 45 vineyard plots across Louis Roederer’s seven Grand Crus for a sublime expression that totally encapsulates its meticulous approach to sustainable viticulture, artful blending, and careful aging.
The Singapore Airlines’ world-renowned panel panel of wine consultants selected Louis Roederer Cristal 2015 for its unmatched balance and depth of flavour.
“Cristal 2015 is an exceptional experience. Its depth and impressive quality from the meticulous ageing process results in a champagne with intricate and intense flavours of toasted pinenuts, crushed stones, and white flowers, coupled with a crescendo of refined flavours and a lingering, persistent finish. The quality of this wine remains prominent even at 36,000 feet, making it the perfect addition for SIA’s Suites and First Class customers,” declared Jeannie Cho Lee, the first Asian to be awarded the Master of Wine title and a member of SIA’s wine panel.
“Cristal 2015 delivers intense and delicious aromas with superb energy and an
ethereal vibration. This is a timeless champagne of supreme balance and measure,
resonating with the chalkiness of its soils, bursting forth in a bracing, vertical
effervescence, with an insistent, precise, and finely honed freshness,” shared Frédéric Rouzaud, Chief Executive Officer of Champagne Louis Roederer.
“We are really delighted that our iconic Cristal champagne has been chosen to be served on board Singapore Airlines,” he added.
