The upcoming 13th edition of Whisky Live Singapore takes place on 23 and 24 November 2024 and will see the festival evolve as a more intimate affair.
Get ready, whisky connoisseurs! Whisky Live Singapore is back for its 13th instalment this year. Running 23 and 24 November 2024, the much-beloved spirits festival again promises an extraordinary weekend of exclusive tastings, immersive masterclasses, and curated cocktail experiences.
But it’s back this time with a surprising twist. Moving away from the more expansive affairs of yesteryears – the last edition held at the Singapore Flyer attracted over 3,000 spirits enthusiasts – Whisky Live Singapore 2024 is positioned by organisers La Maison du Whisky (LMDW) as a VIP edition with a more private, intimate setting at members’ only club Mandala Club targeted at true aficionados and capped at just 300 attendees per day.
That’s right – while previous Whisky Live instalments always had a VIP component for connoisseurs, this time it’s VIP all around.
Indeed Whisky Live Singapore will be pulling out all the stops this year with its VIP Central Bar, a dedicated space showcasing first-taste opportunities from LMDW’s newly-launched “Foundations” catalogue. Fans can also expect exclusive access to rare bottlings, including those from Macallan, Caroni, Blanton’s, and LMDW’s own Artist #14 single cask series.
For those looking to deepen their knowledge, free masterclasses led by global industry luminaries will also be available to all VIP ticket holders. Past editions have featured insights from figures like Mark Reynier, founder of Waterford Whisky, and Emiko Kaji, Global Education Leader at Nikka Whisky.
Adding to the excitement, Whisky Live Singapore 2024 features unique collaborations with Singapore’s finest bars. For example, Ireland’s Teeling Whiskey has teamed up with the famed Manhattan Bar to launch a single malt aged in casks that previously held barrel-aged Negroni. Limited to just 288 bottles, this exclusive release is set to debut at Manhattan before its showcase at Whisky Live.
Rum lovers are not left out either. Velier’s Magnum Series #2, in collaboration with Magnum Photos, will also make its Singapore debut, featuring rare Caribbean rums adorned with captivating photography by Alex Webb.
Whisky Live’s popular Cocktail Street also makes its return this year, and the upcoming edition will see a vibrant collection of partner bars – each located within a five-minute walk from Mandala Club – offering themed drinks for cocktail-loving revellers. Fans can look forward to signature cocktails from renowned local bars like Kafe Utu and Cat Bite Club, each serving innovative creations crafted around featured whiskies and spirits. Other partner bars include Foxtail, RPM by D.Bespoke, NOU Noodle Bar, Beats, Bites & Cocktails, and more.
