Returning next week for the fifth edition of 1855 The Bottle Shop’s Wine & Whisky Week with a summer theme of “Behold the Beauty of Blends, Soak in the Spirits of Single Varietal”, this festival will feature wineries and labels that are making their debut appearances exclusively at 1855 The Bottle Shop.
Rising stars such as Viña Vik from Chile, iconic wineries like Duemani from Italy and many more labels will be making their showcase next week! With other interesting offerings such as the Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare as well as the world’s first zero CO2 emissions wine from Castello Monte Vibiano Vecchio, there will be discoveries for everyone.
During this 12-day event that is open to public, visitors can explore blends from Bordeaux, spirits such as single malt, grain or blended whiskies, craft gins as well as sakes from boutique breweries.
Masterclasses will also be held on the weekends and tickets can be purchased here or at www.1855thebottleshop. Tickets for each masterclass cost $28 and topics like “Burn Cottage – Central Otago’s Top Pinot Noir in Vertical”, “The Influence of Casks” and “The Cultural Significance of Sake and Nada Region by Nihonsakari” will be taught by an industry leader in their field.
