A long line of Longmorn

Whisky bar Quaich Bar at Waterfront Plaza will be hosting “A long line of Longmorn”, a special whisky tasting on Wednesday 23 January 2018 at 7pm featuring a range of Scotch Malt Whisky Society whiskies that hail from Longmorn distillery.

If you aren’t too familiar, Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS) is a member-based whisky and independent bottler that makes a range of highly-regarded whiskies. Pernod Ricard-owned Longmorn hails from Scotland’s Speyside region, and production mostly goes to the making of Chivas Regal.

This whisky tasting sees four SMWS expressions featured:

• 7.187 Sexy and Indulgent (25YO refill hogshead)
• 7.190 An Essay in Elegance (24YO 1st fill barrique)
• 7.164 Carefree Contentment (23YO refill ex-bourbon barrel)
• 7.182 White Velvet (13YO 1st fill barrel)

“The concept here is to show the depth of SMWS bottlings. Not only do they have the breadth of over 135 whisky distilleries that they have done bottlings for, they can produce a full lineup from a rather iconic distillery with recent bottlings alone,” says Matthew Fergusson-Stewart, Chief Marketing Officer for The Whisky Store, who will be presiding over the tasting.
