Biondi Santi Wine Dinner with winemaker Tancredi Biondi Santi

Italian Wine Club is continuing its winemaker dinner series with an upcoming Biondi Santi wine dinner, featuring wines from the Montalcino, Siena-based winemaker, on 26 June at 7.30pm at Zafferano.
The dinner will be hosted by Tancredi Biondi Santi, the sixth generation winemaker from the venerable family Biondi Santi who have been producing some of the world’s finest wines at their Greppo estate since the mid-1800s. The family was acknowledged in 1932 as the inventor of Brunello di Montalcino – was awarded the first Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita (DOCG) designation and today is one of Italy’s best-known and most expensive wines – and its Brunello di Montalcino Biondi Santi Reserve 1955 was awarded by Wine Spectator as one of the 12 best wines made in the world during the 20th century, the only Italian wine on the list.
Tancredi Biondi Santi is in Singapore to recognise Zafferano as official Biondi Santi Ambassador, and will be providing guided tastings of representative wines from both the historical Tenuta Greppo in Montalcino, and the innovative Tenuta Castello di Montepò in Scansano.
