The Cooperage presents Penderyn, Wales’ Liquid Gold

New whisky (kid) on the block The Cooperage presents an evening with new-to-Singapore whisky Penderyn, brought in by new (another new!) distributor Spirits Castle.

Guests will get to enjoy a flight of the core range from Penderyn including the Madeira-finished, Sherry Wood, Portwood and Peated whiskies.

Penderyn is the first Welsh distillery, to make commercially available whisky in Wales, since the end of the 19th century. In 2017, their Myth, Madeira and Sherry Wood single malt whiskies won three Golds at the World Whisky Masters 2017 for the European Single Malt and European Single Malt Premium categories.

The late Dr. Jim Swan was their brilliant Master Blender who was involved as a Founder of the distillery , and created their unique single malt style. Dr. Swan’s more-than-40 year career witnessed his involvement with brands such as Penderyn, Amrut, Cotswold and St George’s, Kavalan, Kilchoman, Lindores Abbey, Milk & Honey, The London Distillery and Victoria Caledonian.
