For its next Les Copains d’Abord collaboration dinner on 23 March 2020, Restaurant JAG will be partnering Flor de Caña; Flor de Caña x JAG will feature a range of rums from Flor de Caña to pair with its exquisite modern French cuisine.
The premium rums of Nicaragua’s Flor de Caña are best known for being one of the very few to be distilled five times during its production. Each rum is aged in charred ex-bourbon white oak barrels, and aged for up to 25 years. Flor de Caña is considered one of the best rums from Latin America, and its rums have won more than 150 international awards since 2000. For this dinner, regional brand ambassador Rob Scott will take diners through five different rum expressions, some as they are – neat – and some through cocktails.
For this dinner, diners will get to try the Flor de Caña 4YO, 7YO, 12YO, 18YO and 25YO aged rums. The rums will be accompanied by the exquisite contemporary French cuisine of Restaurant JAG – which was awarded a Michelin star last year – with its unique approach of employing herbs from Savoie, France.
