Part of Lewin Terrace‘s “Full Moon Wine Party” series that takes place every month on a full moon night, this event on Wednesday 20 July 2016 from 6.30pm to 11pm will feature natural biodynamic and biological wines from one or more wine regions around the world to suit the full moon theme.
biodynamic wines are wines made using the principles of biodynamic agriculture, where the planting, pruning, harvesting and processing of the grapes are regulated by a special biodynamic calendar originally devised by maria thun. thun divided the calendar into four categories – root, fruit, flower and leaf days – and believed that wines tasted best on fruit days, and especially during a full moon. some wine experts subscribe to the belief that lunar cycles can affect the taste of wine; others believe it is mere spiritual hogwash.
The biodynamic and biological wines are made from 100% organic grapes, grown within an environment free of chemicals and GMOs; and typically harvested during a full moon.
Entry fee is $50++ per person; every guest receives $50 worth of coupons that can be exchanged for wines. Wines are priced from $10++ per glass while canapes go from $5++; both payable via coupons. Additional coupons can be purchased.
Tickets can be purchased at the door, or via reservations by calling 6338 4868 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
