To be held on Monday 20 January 2020, the Restaurant JAG x Bar-Roque Grill Perrier-Jouët wine dinner will be an epic confluence of modern European gastronomy.
Michelin-starred contemporary French dining establishment Restaurant JAG will be collaborating with Michelin Bib Gourmand awardee Bar-Roque Grill and Champagne house Perrier-Jouët for an exclusive one-night only Champagne dinner on Monday 20 January 2020 at 6.30pm. For this event, Restaurant JAG – which landed a Michelin star last year for its take on author’s cuisine featuring the native herbs of Savoie, France – will see its chef-owner Jeremy Gillon work together with Bar-Roque Grill’s executive chef and owner Stephane Istel to specially curate a five-course inspired wholly by special Perrier-Jouët vintages.
his dinner will kick off with beautiful Burgundy escargot and chicken pâté en croûte paired with the dry Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut, a vibrant, fruity cuvée. This will be followed by St. Jacques Hokkaido scallops prepared with fresh, crisp celtuce and dressed with an exquisite Agastache herb vinaigrette, accompanied with the aromatic Perrier-Jouët Blason Rosé.
The third course is an ultimate seafood dish that celebrates the pure flavours of the Icelandic langoustine and perfectly smoked haddock with a delicate touch of juniper that’s served with the Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque 2012. The fourth course will see the wild earthy flavours of the venison main is complemented with roasted salsify, crisp Williams pear juice and a generous drizzle of peppery Monard-herb infused venison jus; the highly-lauded Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Rosé 2010 has been chosen to complement the dish.
The evening will end on a high with the Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Blanc de Blancs 2006 – described as the most accomplished expression of the Champagne maison and made with some of its rarest and most precious cuvee – which will come with the dessert of chestnut tart, seasonal clementine and chocolate.
Perrier- Jouët’s brand ambassador, Lucas Mulliez, will be on hand to share about the wines.
