The Whisky Library will be hosting two cognac tasting sessions on Saturday 2 July 2016, one at 2pm and another at 5pm, featuring a range of cognacs from the House of Tesseron.
Wine lovers are likely to be familiar with Chateau Pontet Canet in Pauillac of the Medoc in Bordeaux, and the family that owns the winery also owns Tesseron. Tesseron are the only Cognac who can boast that all of their classic expressions have received between 94 and 100 points from Robert Parker, with Lot 29 being the only 100 point scoring cognac ever. They have been family run for a number of generations and they are the owners of the oldest reserve of Grande Champagne cognac in the entire region.
The Tesseron family comes from the Cognac region in France’s southwest where they are custodians of one of the most important collections of old and rare Cognac in existence. Alfred Tesseron and his brother Gerard manage Tesseron Cognac today, the 3rd generation of the family to do so, with Melanie – Alfred’s niece – looking after the marketing.
Participants will get to taste five different expressions from Tesseron:
Fees are $53.50 per person per session. To reserve your spot, call 67352900.
