Bedrock Bar & Grill will be hosting The Southern Experience, a one-night only whiskey pairing dinner on Wednesday 23 October 2019 at 7pm featuring the bourbons of Old Forester and Woodford Reserve.
Sip and learn more about the whiskeys from world-renowned Old Forester and Woodford Reserve distilleries, paired with a delectable 5-course dinner. Guest speaker Grant Shearon, National Advocacy & Development Manager from Brown-Forman – brand owner of world-renowned Old Forester and Woodford Reserve distilleries – will be present to guide diners on the tasting.
Bedrock Bar & Grill – a restaurant specialising in grilled meats and home to a wide collection of rare and old single malt whiskies from around the world – has specially curated a five-course menu just for this night. Whet the palate with a Braised Abalone with Mushroom Risoni and Chimichurri, as diners savour the balanced flavour of the Woodford Reserve Straight Rye. Tuck into the delicate Barramundi Crudo, paired with Woodford Reserve Double Oaked, which is uniquely matured in charred oak barrels and has a full-bodied taste of vanilla, dark caramel, hazelnut, apple, fruit and spices. The crispy Roasted Pork Belly with Celeriac Remoulade, Apple Purée with Melon Dressing is the perfect companion for the Old Forester Statesman, bringing bold flashes of pepper, cinnamon bark and sharp citrus to the lips.
Next, enjoy a hearty Woodfire Grilled Dry Aged Striploin, with potatoes and Foie Gras emulsion, paired with the memorable Woodford Reserve Master Collection Brandy Cask, with a long and warm finish as a touch of caramel lingers on. The Hazelnut Chocolate Sorbet, Almond Cranberry Biscotti with Wild Berry adds the final touch to the dinner experience, accompanied by an Old Forester Classic 86 Proof.
