Some red grape varieties are also produced, such as Caiño Tinto, Espadeiro, Loureira Tinta, Souson, Menci, Pedral and Brancellao.
The Rias Baixas appellation covers five sub-zones: Val do Salnés, Condado do Tea, O Rosal, Soutomaior and Ribeira do Ula.
