Once Upon A Time with the Schofield brothers

In collaboration with Remy Cointreau, progressive cocktail bar and restaurant Tippling Club will be hosting “Once Upon A Time with the Schofield brothers” on Saturday 10 February 2018 from 7pm at featuring head bartender Joe Schofield and his brother Daniel as part of its popular “Once Upon A Time” series of themed food and cocktail pairing events.

Local cocktail hounds will be most familiar with Tippling Club head bartender Joe Schofield who, along with Chef Ryan Clift, has put together some of the most interesting cocktail programmes into town, one that played on a person’s sense of smell, and the latest choosing a cocktail based on gummy bear flavours. But most of us wouldn’t know that the native Mancunian has a brother who’s also in the industry – Daniel Schofield is assistant bar manager at one of London’s newest bars, Coupette. Together they will be composing a once-off cocktail menu of intoxicating masterpieces.

You’ll probably be familiar with Joe’s Sonic Negroni, one of the drinks he put on the menu when he first joined Tippling Club. Other signature cocktails include Lust from the new menu, as well as a surprise drink. Younger brother Daniel on the other hand will shake up some Coupette signatures such as the Ramos/Gin/Figue, his personal take on the classic Ramos Gin Fizz that is manifested in a brilliant combination of fig leaf, gin, lemon juice, and egg white. Other tipples include cherry wood-smoked Board Room, and a refreshing and citrusy Champagne Missionary Downfall.

Accompanying the drinks will be head chef Ayo Adeyemi’s culinary renditions of North England cuisine.
