Hotel G‘s restaurant and wine bar Ginett will be hosting “Vineyard to Table”, an exclusive wine masterclass on Friday 8 June and Saturday 9 June 2018 at 7pm to 9pm on both days that will provide an insight into the culture and art of wine appreciation.
The wine masterclasses will be conducted by Jacques Varet, Director of Operations at R&B Lab and French wine expert Yves Soudy; Varet will take participants through understanding the matching of wines with specific glassware, as well as the basics of food and wine pairing, while Soudy will share more on the unique winemaking process and attributes of each wine.
The two-hour includes a five-course dinner paired with wines from France’s best wine regions. The meal starts off with the bright Burrata & Heirloom Tomato, Compressed Watermelon and a glass of crisp, sparkling wine. For mains, guests can expect to indulge in La Quenelle de Brochet Gratinee, a delicate pike fish dumpling coated in Chardonnay sauce and the tender La Joue de Bouef, wagyu beef braised for 12 hours that is guaranteed to melt in your mouth. The meal is then followed by a Cheese Platter featuring a selection of fine French cheese, and will conclude on a tangy and sweet note with the zesty Lemon Meringue, accompanied with a glass of rosé.
