Westward Whiskey pairing night at The Secret Mermaid

Cocktail bar The Secret Mermaid will be hosting a Westward Whiskey pairing night on Wednesday 6 November 2019 that will see their American whiskeys paired with special light bites prepared in collaboration with The Guild.

Portland, Oregon-based Westward Whisky is a leading producer in the rapidly-growing American single malt whiskey category. It was recently launched in the Singapore market, its first market in Asia.

This special event will see Westward Whiskey Founder & Master Distiller Christian Krogstad guide participants through the tastings of the whiskeys, including the award-winning Westward Whiskey Single Malt, as well as sample experimental expressions such as the Oregon Stout Cask, Pinot Noir Cask and American Two Malt Whiskey.

They’ll also get to enjoy three light bites prepared by Chef Alton Huang from The Guild:

• Assorted mushroom, short crust, grana padano

• Smoked duck, barley crepe, pickled cucumber, hoisin

• Citrus marmalade and whisky pudding, creme anglaise

The Guild recently landed the “Best Beer Bar” award at The Bar Awards 2019.
