Wine Ah Lian brings you to Argentina

Go on a virtual wine tasting session with “Wine Ah Lian” Eve Lai on Friday 30 July 2021 featuring three wines from Argentina.
Eve Lai of wine importer and distributor Amigos Y Vinos, better known as “Wine Ah Lian”, will be taking wine enthusiasts on a virtual wine tasting session to Argentina. This wine tasting will feature three Argentine wines from Mendoza-based Bodega Los Haroldos:
- Los Haroldos Nampe Torrontes 2019
- Los Haroldos Estate Bonarda 2017
- Los Haroldos Reserve Malbec 2015
Founded in 1939 by Haroldos Santos Falasco, family-owned Los Haroldos has over 80 years of winemaking experience and is currently run by third-generation Jorge Falasco. The winery draws on grapes from vineyards planted in North Valley where it is based, as well as from Uco Valley and South Valley.
Particularly interesting for wine enthusiasts in this tasting is the Los Haroldos Nampes Torrontes. Torrontes is an aromatic white wine from Argentina, which is actually vinified from a family of varieties bearing the same name. Then there’s the Los Haroldos Estate Bonarda, a red wine grape – also known as Douce Noir, Corbeau, or Charbono – that originated from Savoy in France but found a home in Argentina. And of course the Los Haroldos Reserve Malbec, because Malbec – also originally a French grape varietal – has become synonymous with Argentine wine.
Eve will guide this wine tasting using her signature light hearted and entertaining “ah lian” approach to wine education and knowledge.
A tasting flight of these three wines costs $75, alternative there’s a discovery bundle of all three bottles at $140. Each set comes with a tasting placemat and an exclusive book by the winemaker.
