Wine Discovery Weekend walkabout tasting

Online wine site Ewineasia.com will again be organising its Wine Discovery Weekend, anchored by its special wine discovery walkabout tasting event on 17 October from 10am to 6pm at APS Lifestyle (9 Muthuraman Chetty Road).
More than 100 wines will be showcased to event goers, from over 40 of the world’s finest artisan wineries including:

- Dourthe (France),
- Isole e Olena (Italy),
- Emilio Moro (Spain),
- Agusti Torello Mata (Spain),
- Mt Difficulty (New Zealand),
- Miles from Nowhere (Australia),

Understanding “Wine” in Asian Context (1300-1345hrs)
If you’ve ever been intimidated by wine descriptions simply because you’re not familiar with the likes of ‘boysenberries’ or ‘acacias’, this masterclass conducted by renowned wine author Edwin Soon seeks to encourage to use of Asian wine descriptors to describe wines.
Cabernet Sauvignon Around the World (1430-1515hrs)
Today the most planted grape around the world, Cabernet Sauvignon is planted in nearly every winemaking country. With all that choice, how do you determine what you like? Marie-Agnès Labopin, sommelier at Taratata Bistro, shares her expertise.
Old Vintages of Champagne Boizel (1600-1645hrs)
Each generation of the Boizel family has sought to set aside the best bottles to protect this treasure from being consigned to the vagaries of history. Florent Boizel, 6th generation of the family, will unveil some fine old vintages of Champagne Boizel.
