As part of the Wine Lust 2020 series of wine-based events by 1-Group, Monti at 1-Pavilion will hosting an Italian wine pairing dinner on Wednesday 2 September 2020 in collaboration with wine partner Crystal Wines.
For one night only, Monti will be presenting a series of thoughtfully crafted contemporary dishes that offers an elevated take on Italy’s favourites. 1-Group’s Group Executive Sous Chef Felix Chong – who heads the kitchen at Monti – will be using premium and seasonal ingredients in dishes such as the San Daniele Ham with Egg & Honey and Austige Australian Wagyu Beef Tartare with Quail Egg Yolk as part of its anti pasti misti. They are followed by House Made Pici Pasta ‘Cacio e Pepe’, before the main courses of Charcoal Grilled Aljomar Spanish Iberico Secreto and Roasted Silere New Zealand Lamb. The wine dinner will round off with Cannoli Alla Siciliana as a sweet treat.
This Italian wine pairing dinner will feature five iconic Italian wines specially curated to go with the food. These wines are all distinct from one another, yet collectively, they present a vivid picture of what Italy has to offer. Wines presented include the Ceretto Barbera d’Alba Piana 2017 and Tasca D’Almerita Cabernet Sauvignon 2016.
