Patisserie G will be holding a sake masterclass on Thursday 28 July 2016 from 3pm to 6pm, which will feature one of the world’s foremost non-Japanese sake expert John Gauntner, Japanese sake critic Haruo Matsuzaki as well as sake tourism pioneer Etsuko Nakamura.
Gauntner will be taking participants through the elements of sake tasting and appreciation, while Matsuzaki will explain about how different sake rice varieties used for sake making can produce totally different flavour profiles. Nakamura, who also is a certified Sake Samurai, will present the history and tradition of various sake breweries around Japan via a virtual sake brewery tour.
