Austria’s renowned biennial wine fair VieVinum returns for its 2024 edition, and will take place at HOFBURG Vienna from 25 May to 27 May.

Vienna is again set to host winemakers, wine experts and wine lovers from all around the world as VieVinum 2024 happens this May. VieVinum is Austria’s largest and most important wine festival that take place every two years, and this year visitors can again find Austria’s most impressive wineries from across the country as well as the rest of the world descend in HOFBURG Vienna for the three-day event.

The most important for the Austrian wine sector, VieVinum 2024 will see over 550 exhibitors – ranging from producers, importers and distributors from across Austria and beyond – showcase their wines to the trade and public. Expect to see many native and international grape varieties presented by producers from wine regions all across Austria, such as Niederösterreich, Burgenland, Steiermark, Neusiedlersee, Wachau, and more.

This year’s guest country at VieVinum is Greece. A full delegation will be shining the spotlight on the unique terroir of the Greek homeland, with highlighting varieties such as Assyrtiko, Malagousia, Muscat d’Alexandrie, Savatiano, Agiorgitiko and Xinomavro.

Aside from Greece, representation will also come from Germany’s Association of German Prädikat Wine Estates (VDP), Italy, Spain, Georgia, and even Ukraine, bringing an international flavour to the show.

In addition to the show floor, VieVinum’s School of Wine has curated an extensive programme of masterclasses and lectures around wine. Rare grape varieties, the future of viticulture, great single-vineyard wines and their characteristics, and exciting new discoveries from famous origins are some of the topics that will be discussed by top international speakers including Anne Krebiehl MW, Romana Echensperger MW, Prof. Dr. Walter Kutscher of the Vienna Sommelier Association, and award-winning sommelier Raimonds Tomsons.
