One in a while our friends at the Tippling Club like to throw themed parties in a series called “Once Upon A Time In…”; a recent one, for example, was called “Once Upon A Time In Japan” that featured Tokyo’s Code Name Mixology owner and head bartender, Shuzo Nagumo and his amazing cocktails. This time round the series swing towards Banffshire with “Once Upon A Time In Banffshire”, to be held on 28 September from 7pm.
If you’re not familiar with Banffshire, it’s a county in Scotland which just happens to border the mighty River Spey along which many famous Scottish whisky distilleries are located. One of these is The Balvenie, and so during this themed dinner diners will have the opportunity to partake in 5 different single malt expressions from that distillery. The whiskies will be paired with the amazing food from the kitchen of Tippling Club’s award-winning chef Ryan Clift. The Balvenie regional brand ambassador Neil Strachan will be on hand to show one and all a good time, and we understand from him we’ll be seeing The Balvenie 12YO Doublewood and 15YO Single Barrel for sure; the others are going to be a bit of a surprise for now.
The five-course themed dinner costs $150++ per person. To RSVP for a spot, email Tippling Club head bartender Kamil Foltan at kamil(at)tipplingclub.com.
