Here are some of the event highlights (other than the new venue) that we learnt at the media preview:
1.This will be an all-indoor experience so rain and shine, the event will go on.
2. Over 200 hundred different wines from Australia & New Zealand, Central Europe, France & Spain, Italy and North & South America.
3. A one-price wine and a Gourmet food experience: Grand Hyatt Singapore’s Executive Sous Chef, Chef Gregor Streun, has specially curated a menu to pair with the different wine regions that are featured at the event.
The food experience includes gulf prawn cocktail with fresh shucked oyster with mignonette, lemon and tabasco, a green pea risotto with goat cheese feta, mint and preserved lemon and a Beef-BBQ rubbed house brisket with chimichurri sauce.
4. A special mention for the introduction of non-alcoholic Pierre Zero Sparkling and Merlot wines from France that will take place at the event.
Tickets to Wine Fiesta 2019 on 5 October start from SGD 78 for Early Bird and SGD 88 for normal price. For 6 October, early bird tickets start at SGD 68 and increase to SGD 78 for normal price. Details can be found at the event website.
The event will open from 12pm on both days and end at 9pm on 5 Oct and 7pm on 6 Oct.
5. A special Winemaker’s Table Dinner will start the event proper on 4 October. Guests to this special event will get to taste iconic wines and vintages, while being hosted by the winemakers over dinner.
This is a sit-down dinner and will feature a menu created by Chef Gregor, who is also a former three Michelin-star restaurant chef. The Winemaker’s Table Dinner are priced at SGD 188 per person.
