A Taste of Portugal: Wine Dinner by Niepoort and Quinta do Vesuvio at Hevel

Contemporary European dining destination HEVEL at Keong Saik Road will be hosting a ‘A Taste of Portugal’, a wine dinner held in collaboration with renowned wine producers Niepoort and Quinta do Vesuvio on 9 May 2024.

As part of this exclusive wine dinner, HEVEL Chef-Owner Stefan Liau will be curating a special menu that will be paired with the fortified wines of the two renowned Portuguese port producers.

Niepoort, a historic Portuguese wine producer dating back to 1842, embodies a passion for winemaking that spans six generations. Guided by the motto “Innovating while preserving beautiful traditions”, Niepoort’s wines strike a perfect balance between tradition and innovation.

Quinta do Vesuvio, nestled in the majestic Douro Valley, boasts a rich history and exceptional wines. With roots dating back to 1565, Quinta do Vesuvio has been producing some of the finest Vintage Ports and Douro red wines for centuries. Acquired by the Symington family in 1989, the estate continues to uphold its legacy of excellence in winemaking.

For ‘A Taste of Portugal’, guests will indulge in a meticulously crafted six-course menu featuring signatures and new dishes from the highly-lauded contemporary European eatery such as Mussels with Chorizo and brioche, paired with Niepoort Redoma Reserva 2021, Veal Neck with Sweet Potato and Mascarpone, complemented by Niepoort Redoma 2007 Double Magnum and more.
