Chivas presents: The Blend

Chivas Regal will be hosting “Chivas presents: The Blend”, Singapore’s very first online whisky blending session on Friday 1 May 2020 at 8pm.

Whisky sessions hosted online via video conferencing are all the rage these days when actual physical masterclasses aren’t possible in thes coronavirus-plagued times. But popular blended Scotch whisky brand Chivas Regal is looking to put a spin on things by hosting Singapore’s first-ever online whisky tasting on Zoom that looks at getting participants to blend their own whisky.

“Chivas presents: The Blend” will see Singapore-based Chivas brand ambassador Matthew Perry host an online whisky session where participants will learn about the art of blending. Using a Chivas Whisky Blending kit available exclusively from Lazada, Perry will guide participants in sampling the iconic Chivas 12YO and then breaking down the blend and sampling component whiskies that possibly make up the blend. They can then mix and match whiskies to create their own preferred blends.

When Chivas Regal founders James and John Chivas started their whisky brand almost 200 years ago they probably never have envisioned that one day some people at another part of the world would be dissecting their whisky over video conference technology.
