Organised by wine distributor Lileo Wines, Gaumarjos-lah is a wine tasting event on Friday 27 July 2018 at Sinfonia Ristorante from 7pm to 10pm featuring a range of Georgian wines.
Wines from Georgia – widely considered the oldest wine region in the world – tend to be rather rare in Singapore, and with 14 wines Gaumarjos-lah will be the first time so many Georgian wines will be showcased at one spot. You’ll be able to learn more about indigenous Georgian grape varietals such as the Saperavi, Rkatsiteli Qvevri, Tsolikouri, and Mtsvane Kakhuri, and understand its traditional Qvevri (or Kvevri) winemaking process using large, egg-shaped earthenware vessels buried below ground for the fermentation, aging, and storage of wine. Representatives of some of the Georgian wineries, such as Shilda and Teliani, will be present to provide more information about their wines.
This wine tasting costs $88 nett per person and includes canapes and cheeses. To book your spot call 9076 2294 or email wyman@lileo.com.sg.
