Quaich Bar at Waterfront Plaza will be hosting a Glenallachie tasting on Thursday 14 March 2019 at 7pm featuring the whiskies of the privately-owned Speyside distillery.
For those not familiar with The Glenallachie, the newish Aberlour-based distillery was originally built in 1967 but was bought over and mothballed by Invergordon Distillers in 1985. In 1989 Campbell Distillers bought it over and restarted the distillery, until 2017 when they sold it into private ownership under Billy Walker, Graham Stevenson and Trisha Savage. Whisky aficionados would have heard of Walker, who used to own and run The BenRiach, and Stevenson was ex-managing director at Inver House Distillers. Savage was formerly general manager at BenRiach, working with Walker for over 30 years.
This whisky tasting will be the first time Glenallachie’s core range of whiskies are featured in Singapore. Whiskies for this tasting are:
