[ProWine Asia] Georgia – The Birthplace Of Wine

Part of ProWine Asia (Singapore) 2018, wine consultant Irakli Cholobargia will be presenting a session on “Georgia – The Birthplace Of Wine” on Tuesday 24 April 2018 from 4.45pm to 5.45pm at the ProWine Asia Forum.

Georgia is one of the oldest wine regions in the world. Irakli Cholobargia – founder of one of the first Georgian wine and spirits company which helped to revive the Georgian wine industry after the collapse of USSR, and director for the marketing department of the National Wine Agency of Georgia since 2011 – will share about the fertile valleys and protective slopes of the Transcaucasia were home to grapevine cultivation and neolithic wine production for at least 8000 years.
