The Malt Affair Vol 7

Boutique spirits festival The Malt Affair is back for its seventh edition and promises to be bigger than ever.

There are many spirits-related festivals in Singapore that run throughout our drinking calendar, but for those who prefer a more intimate and less rowdy affair, there’s The Malt Affair. This cosy spirits festival – which was originally started by collectors or enthusiast-collectors – focuses on whisky and spirits of a more independent bent, and this year The Malt Affair Vol. 7 will take place on Saturday 28 October 2023 from 2pm to 9pm at The Amara Singapore.

Expect to sample whiskies from exhibitors the likes of Simply Whisky, The Swan Song, The Single Cask, Friends with Drams, Animal Spirits, INTERCO-MLE, Grain & Cane, and Whisky Antique, for example, with unique and rare bottlings that run from limited edition to the single cask varieties.

Highlights for The Malt Affair Vol 7 include the Glendronach 1993 26yr OB for Silver Seal 55.3% ABV from Whisky Antique and Secret Highland 2010 12 yr ‘Laksa’ The Malt Affair collaboration with Hideo Yamaoka of The Whisky Mew, just to name a couple.

The latest edition of The Malt Affair will also feature a number of stellar masterclasses, including one by Dutch whisky connoisseur and collector Michiel Wigman, better known as ‘Mr Springbank’.
