The Whisky Store Collectors Club Frank McHardy Series: An Introduction

The Whisky Store is hosting an online whisky tasting featuring its new Collectors Club Frank McHardy collection on Wednesday 25 August 2021.

As part of the launch of its Collectors Club membership programme, whisky specialists The Whisky Store will be hosting an introductory virtual whisky tasting session on Wednesday 25 August 2021 featuring their latest collection of six casks personally selected by the legendary Frank McHardy, Master Distiller of ex-Springbank fame. The event will be hosted by McHardy himself.

For those not familiar with Frank McHardy, he oversaw the refurbishment of the former Glengyle distillery in Campbeltown which was closed in 1925. The Glengyle Distillery reopened in March 2004 and produces the highly regarded Kilkerran whiskies under the stewardship of Frank. He retired in March 2013 after having spent a total of 50 years in the production of Scottish and Irish whisky.

The six whiskies featured during this online whisky tasting are:

• Aberfeldy 15YO (Vintage 2005)
• Braeval 24YO (Vintage 1997)
• Bunnahabhain 12YO (Vintage 2009)
• Glen Grant 23YO (Vintage 1997)
• Dailuaine 18YO (Vintage 2002)
• Speyside 25YO (Vintage 1995)

These come in 20ml sample sizes. You can purchase your Collectors Club Frank McHardy tasting set online here at The Whisky Store website at the price of S$160 per set. Collectors Club members enjoy a 30 percent discount on the event fee and only pay S$112 for registration. Attendees can choose to self collect at The Signature Reserve at The Fullerton Hotel before the event, or opt for delivery at an additional S$25.
