Singapore is recently seeing a slew of Spanish beers entering the Singapore market. Eastern Craft Trading in 2012 brought in a rosemary honey ale from Valencia-based craft microbrewery La Socarrada. APB’s Archipelago “World Beer” arm later that year started to carry products Spain’s oldest brewery S.A. Damm with their pilsner Estrella Damm and the premium Estrella Damm Inedit made by famous molecular gastronomy extraordinaire Ferran Adria of the now defunct El Bulli, and most recently Spanish purveyor Iconic Wines in mid-2013 started to import Estrella de Galicia beers from Hijos de Rivera, S.A. of A Coruña, Galicia.

A new Spanish beer is in town – Moritz of Barcelona, Spain – brought in by beer importers Dre@mfields, who are the official distributors for German beer brands Weihenstephan, Schneider Weisse and Weltenburger. The regular Moritz is a light golden pilsner with sweet notes of malt and cereal in a light body, while Saaz hops provide light, crisp bitterness.

Dre@mfields will be showcasing Moritz at the upcoming Beerfest Asia, and will launch the Moritz Epidor strong lager there.
