Swiss luxury appliance maker V-ZUG partners Tippling Club’s Ryan Clift to create modern European fine dining eatery V Dining in the heart of Orchard Road.
In a match made in gastronomic heaven, V-ZUG has partnered with its Singapore-based global ambassador and culinary maverick Ryan Clift of Tippling Club to establish a restaurant in Orchard Road, the first-ever restaurant for the Swiss luxury appliance maker. Tucked in a discreet corner right next to the V-ZUG’s showroom in Scotts Square, the 35-seater V Dining in fact also works as a showroom of sorts with Head Chef Lee Jing Peng using professional-level V-ZUG kitchen appliances designed for homes to prepare meals for diners there.
Chef Lee previously worked with Clift at Tippling Club, while the latter will operate as Culinary Director at the new space. Clift, who became a global ambassador for V-ZUG in January 2017, is excited to use the space to demonstrate to diners how professionally prepared meals can be had in the home using V-ZUG kitchen technology.
“It is a great honour to be working with them as V-ZUG’s appliances feature one of the best technologies in the market. (Technology) allows me to do what I do, thus the better the technology, the better I become,” says Ryan Clift, Culinary Director, V Dining.
Diners at V Dining get a choice from two-course and three-course set menus, and a five-course Chef Selects menu for lunch, served with complimentary petit fours, priced at S$48++, S$60++, and S$90++, respectively. For dinner, V Dining offers a six-course menu at S$130++, and a 10-course menu at S$180++. A wine pairing option is also available.
Expect dishes such as Hamachi, which sees freshly air-flown yellowtail collar from Japan every three days that’s served with green curry and puffed rice, while Guinea Fowl features the game bird smothered in textures from slices of raw king oyster mushroom.
